Over the years, and with each campaign/expansion, the character selection screen has changed. If you have played long enough, then you will probably remember a few of these screens. Each had their own different user interface layout, music, and background. This thread is about which one is/was your favourite. Simply write a post with which one is your favourite, and feel free to add additional comments detailing the reasoning for your decision, if you so desire.

Personally, my favourite one was the Factions character selection screen.

my favorite is the cantha screen. the second i watched my buddy sign onto his account way back when and saw the login screen and heard the soundtrack playing i was like im buying this game no doubt. i started playing i believe right after they switched to the cantha screen... i remember constantly being so puzzled as to why the word "factions" was under the guild wars name. lol, sometimes i miss being new and discovering things on my own

The Factions screen was my favorite, though I liked the background music on NF's screen the most.

Yeah, those drums and the brass actually sounded pretty good. Like a Western take on North African musical style.
